Length Breakdown
40cm — Collar Sits at the base of the neck. A close, minimal fit that works well for delicate chains and a clean, understated look.
45cm — Choker/Collarbone Sits just at or above the collarbone. One of the most popular lengths for women's jewellery — versatile and flattering on most necklines.
50cm — Princess Sits just below the collarbone. The most universally wearable length — works solo, with a pendant, or as the base layer when stacking.
55cm — Matinee Falls between the collarbone and chest. A relaxed, slightly longer fit that suits both casual and dressed-up styles.
60cm — Opera Sits at the chest. Works well with heavier chains or as a statement piece worn alone.
70cm+ — Rope Length Falls lower on the chest or stomach. Typically worn as a bold statement, or doubled up for a layered effect.
Tips for Choosing Your Length
- For everyday wear, 45–50cm is the most practical and versatile starting point
- For layering, choose chains at least 5cm apart in length to avoid tangling
- For pendants, a 50cm chain gives the pendant room to sit naturally without crowding the neckline
- For men's jewellery, 55–60cm tends to be the most comfortable and proportionate fit
- If between sizes, size up — a slightly longer chain is easier to style than one that feels too short
